Loyd Smith joined Hickey & Evans, LLP in January 2019.  Mr. Smith previously practiced with the Wyoming firm of Murane & Bostwick, LLC from 1996 to 2019 and prior to that with a local Cheyenne firm from 1989 to 1996.

Mr. Smith graduated from the University Of Wyoming College Of Law with honor in 1987.  After graduating from law school, Mr. Smith first served as a general assignment law clerk for the Wyoming Supreme Court and thereafter as a law clerk to the Honorable Richard J. Macy, Justice of the Wyoming Supreme Court.

Mr. Smith is admitted to practice in both Wyoming and Colorado.  His litigation and trial practice is concentrated in the areas of personal injury defense, trucking litigation, commercial litigation, product liability litigation, construction defect, insurance coverage and bad faith, employment litigation, and civil rights law.  Mr. Smith’s practice also includes business, corporate, and real estate law.  Mr. Smith represents litigants in trials in both state and federal courts and appeals to the Wyoming Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit.
